Started in 1926, VANDERBROOK AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING, INC. was founded by William Vanderbrook, Sr.    At the time, air conditioning was only a luxury for some and unattainable by most.   Mr. Vanderbrook started off working on mostly refrigeration units in corner grocery stores and bar rooms.   His reputation, as a hard-working, honest, dependable person, preceded him.   Word-of-mouth was his primary means of marketing and his handshake was a binding agreement that the work would be done as promised.  Everyone knew "Billy" as the go-to man for quality mechanical work.  The 1950's brought a revolutionary design in air conditioning, with the introduction of compact air conditioners or "window units".   For many years, VANDERBROOK AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING, INC. would be one of very few choices for window unit sales and service.  Eventually, Billy would bring his 2 sons into the business, Bill,Jr. and Van.   The sons welcomed a new change with central air conditioning systems working their way into homes across the country during the 1960's and 1970's.    Business erupted.   Throughout the 1970's and 1980's, Bill, Jr. and Van took the helm and steered VANDERBROOK AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING, INC. into becoming a premier full-service mechanical shop that specialized in sheetmetal fabrication, refrigeration installation and service, room air conditioner sales and service and central air / heat systems installation and service.    When someone mentioned "air conditioning", the name "VANDERBROOK" usually followed.   In 1991, Van's son, Scott, started employment with the company as a temporary summer job and never looked back.   Working from a helper to installer to service tech to now managing the company and still very involved in service and overseeing the quality of installations, Scott takes pride in ensuring that the reputation of this company as a QUALITY-FIRST organization will never be tarnished.   Those values that William Sr. instilled in his sons still are carried out to this day.   Now, in its 3rd generation of service and over 87 years later, VANDERBROOK AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING, INC. still offers the same quality service and integrity, while accepting the latest trends in tools, training, equipment and technology, to provide the ultimate in home / business comfort solutions and indoor air quality.   Moving forward, we still have one goal - KEEPING YOU COMFORTABLE.    William, Sr. would be proud.........
